How Many Cookbooks Do You Have?

by Linette Gerlach on June 24th, 2008

cookbooks Only a few days left to vote in this month’s poll. How many cookbooks do you have? Come on be honest. Stop by the poll in the sidebar and share with the world.

Tell us about your cookbook collection in the comment section below. What was your first cookbook, what’s your favorite? What’s your favorite healthy cooking book? What cookbooks would you like to see reviewed here at Robust Cooking?

I included a photo of some of my favorite cookbooks on my kitchen shelf. I have even more, mixed with gardening, entertaining, photography, and crafty books on a large bookshelf in a closet in our living room. I was going to count them for this pole, but finally gave up and just marked the, I lost count box.

My absolute favorite cookbook is the recipe book I made myself. It has all my favorite recipes in one place.

Hop on over and vote, then stay tuned for the results, and another fun healthy cooking poll coming next month.

Oh my goodness! We had so many!!!! We’re getting ready to move so I tried to cut ours down to about 10. The other 30 or so are in the yard sale pile. It was hard to pick and choose which ones to keep.

Karen, My problem is, every time I sell one of my cook books (or gardening or craft books) at a garage sale, about 6 months later there’s a recipe, or craft I really want to make and it’s in the book I sold. Happens every time.

It is really hard to pick which ones to keep, I feel for you.

Wow, that’s a loaded question! I have something like 12 “active” cookbooks, everything from Lebanese cuisine (my husband’s culture) to PA Dutch (my culture…hey, that would make some interesting fusion food, huh?), add in my beloved Taste of Home annuals and my frugal cookbooks, and it gets a little chaotic. But I wouldn’t part with a single one of them! (the thought of a yard sale is making me queasy)
