Horizon Organic Milk Online Coupon

by Sandy Mitchell on August 14th, 2008

Horizon MilkHelp keep down the price of buying organic with this online coupon from Horizon Organic, good for $1 off of a half-gallon of their chocolate organic milk. The coupon is good through September 13, 2008.

I’ve tried Horizon’s products, both the regular and the chocolate milk, and you really can tell a difference between them and “regular” milk.

    Dear Sandy,

Did you know that Horizon is one of 50 brands owned by the $12 billion agribusiness giant Dean Foods?

Did you know that they own and 8000-head factory farm in desert like conditions of Idaho?

Did you know that they built their leading market share by buying milk from many other industrial-scaled dairies, including one that had 10,000 cows in California…. until they lost their organic certification.

Please visit our website (www.cornucopia.org) and view the photo gallery of their “organic farms.” On the website you can also find a comprehensive report on organic dairy and a scorecard ranking most of the major organic brands based on their ethical approach to milk production (the brands that rely exclusively on family farmers, real organic farmers, for their milk are the highest rated).

Please contact us if you have any questions,

I don’t drink milk, but I buy the small (kids snack size) Horizon three packs for cooking. I know it seems wasteful, but I was wasting a lot of milk before by buying the larger containers. Even though the date my still be good, it still says to use within 7-14 days of opening. I never can.
