For the Love of Applesauce
Are you looking for a healthy, refreshing snack, one that’s cool when the temperatures are searing? Mott’s, the nation’s leading producer of branded apple sauce and apple juice, has just introduced “Mott’s Plus Apple Sauce” snacks.
These smooth and cool treats come in Harvest Apple, Cranberry Raspberry, and Pomegranate flavors and have no added sugar or artificial sweetners. In addition, apple sauce is naturally fat, sodium, and cholesterol-free. What’s the “Plus?” That’s the added benefit in each snack. Harvest Apple contains Calcium, Pomegranate is fortified with Vitamin A and the antioxidant Vitamin E, and Cranberry Rapsberry is a good source of fiber. And there are just 50 calories in one 3.9 oz. cup.
Yes, but how do they taste? Frankly, I wasn’t overwhelmed with the Harvest Apple. I found it a little bland. However, the Cranberry Raspberry and Pomegrante flavors are quite good. Both are bursting with fruit flavor and have just that right mixture of tart and sweet.
Mott’s Plus Applesauce is available at grocery stores around the United States. A package of four-3.9 oz. cups retails for $2.49.
