Cookbook Giveaway
Today, we offer the first of several giveaways this week, a part of the bloggy giveaway carnival. It’s one of my favorite new cookbooks, the Whole Grains Cookbook. This book, just released in February, contains 150 healthy and tasty recipes as well as nutritional information and tips on healthy cooking. We reviewed the book on “Robust Cooking” last week.
To enter, simply leave a comment below giving the name of your favorite grain. The contest is valid for residents of the United States age 18 and older. The contest will run until midnight (EDT) on Monday, August 4. Good luck!
Note: This giveaway is closed to new entries now. The winner will be announced later on Tuesday.

Favorite grain? Oh dear. I really don’t know, I’m not even sure how to answer that. I mean, I looked at what other people said, but my first thought was “Grains are all the same, right, just kinda brown and… grainy?” This is how badly I need this book. :(
Going by what others have said, I’d have to say oat, just because oatmeal is the best thing on cold winter mornings.

I am switching to whole wheat pastas and brown rice in my cooking. At first my children were very leary but now they love the change and besides it is much healthier for us in the long run. I collect cook books so thank-you for the contest.

I’d better say OATMEAL, because every morning my husband greets me with a hot steaming dish of oatmeal with raisins in it. He’s a super great guy! And YES! I would love that cookbook. My husband is diabetic and our daughter is trying to convert us to better things to eat.
